Research interests:
I am interested in identifying molecular mechanisms that could facilitate adaptive changes in the placenta during times of stress. I combined high throughput methodologies such as ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, and CLIP-Seq coupled with bioinformatic approaches to study transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulatory networks. The goal of this approach is to develop a model for adaptation that can be tested using knockdown/knockout and over expression studies in both in vitro and in vivo systems.
