Steve Pierce

Research Assistant

Hometown:

Derby, KS.

Education:

B.S. Microbiology, University of Kansas

Interests:

How immune cell populations and cytokines can affect plantation and/or development in general. I am specifically interested in the IL-17 family, and how these cytokines might be involved in everything from behavioral phenotypes of offspring to trophoblast differentiation during pregnancy. In my free time, I enjoy keeping up with international and national politics, and watching documentaries on American history. On Sundays, I watch the Kansas City Chiefs while enjoying a cold IPA.
